Planning the Ultimate (and, hassle-free!) Kid’s Party

Simplify the guest list. An easy way to manage the budget. Some families follow this rule: invite one friend for the number of years old the guest of honor is turning (five guests for a fifth birthday, for example).

Opt for spill-free beverages. Juice pouches over cups! Or, try our personalized water cups – they make a great favor too!

Serve food that's inexpensive + easy. If that means ordering pizza, awesome. Go for it. It could mean making a lasagna ahead of time – just reheat and serve!

Give non-traditional party favors. We love favors that guests can re-use! Think flashlights over glow sticks. Colorful pens over candy. Our favorite – our new Sleepover Essentials Sack! It includes a sleep mask, cozy socks, and a toothbrush!

Check for allergies and dietary restrictions of party guests in advance.

Go green where you can. Send digital invites (we’ve got custom digital invites!). Skip streamers, disposable party décor, and balloons – they create more trash. Use re-usable plastic dishware instead of paper/plastic party-ware – it’s the biggest source of waste from parties.

Consider a LATEOVER. It’s all the fun of a sleepover, but none of the stress. Kids come in pajamas around 5pm for dinner, activity, and movie + cupcakes….and parents pick-up by 9pm.

Don’t go it alone. Ask a party-loving friend to come help you prep + decorate. Ask grandparents to come help serve food  – they’ll love seeing the kids! Hire a sitter to entertain siblings or help with crafts/activities at the party. And, if you want a ‘party-in-a-box’, sprinkle + dot’s party experience is just that….we set-up and clean-up a ‘wow-the-crowd’ tent party. PLUS, we provide everything from custom invitations to party activities to cupcakes!
